The difference, is in the difference.

OUR SERVICES

At The Chiro Collective there is no standard treatment, because you are no standard patient.

Previously as Nelson Chiropractic, and now as The Chiro Collective, we appreciate that every person we see is different. The individual needs of pain management, rehabilitation, and proactive spinal care requires individual treatment for the best results. Our care uses measurable outcomes to assess and monitor patients just like you and your family, with a particular focus on spinal and whole body movement, function and strength for your optimal wellbeing.

  • Low Back Pain

You won’t be surprised to learn that 80% of Australians suffer from back pain at some point in their lives. The good news? Lower back pain can be managed well with chiropractic care, and for this reason it is a common area of concern for patients that present to The Chiro Collective.

  • Neck Pain

The chance that you will have neck pain at some point over your lifetime is nearly 50%. It tends to peak in middle age, and has a higher incidence in females than males. We regularly see patients whose chronic neck pain is so debilitating that it inhibits their ability to manage day-to-day activities.

  • Headaches and Migraines

It’s not at all uncommon for recurrent headaches and migraines to play havoc with work performance and home life. At The Chiro Collective our Chiropractors often see patients whose frequent headaches and migraines are past the point where painkillers are providing adequate relief.

  • Hip and Leg Complaints

At The Chiro Collective, we adopt a holistic approach in our care, which comes with many benefits for our patients. We employ precise chiropractic techniques, so we can address hip and leg problems with an understanding of how they impact on your body, and your quality of life.

  • Shoulder and Arm Pains

Few of us realise we perform more movements with our arms in our day-to-day activities, than with any other part of our body. Our shoulder is the most mobile joint in the human body and given the anatomy of the arm it’s not surprising that shoulder pain is commonly presented at the clinic.

  • Posture

Musculoskeletal conditions are very common, with some 30%, or 6.9 million Australians experiencing problems. While injury and accidents play a part, our everyday habits and posture can determine how well our bodies handle ongoing stress. Seeing a Chiropractor and having a proactive approach to your spinal health and posture is always beneficial.

  • Sports Injuries

Chiropractic care has a strong track record in treating sports injuries, particularly musculoskeletal related issues. Our chiropractors are trained to evaluate, diagnose and treat a range of sports-related injuries including recommending an appropriate rehabilitation treatment plan. We see a range of injuries and many successful returns to treasured sport.

  • Pregnancy and Infancy

Chiropractic care is suitable at all stages of pregnancy, with patients often looking for relief for pregnancy related back or pelvic pain. Chiropractic treatment can also be beneficial to your infant after birth, using gentle and safe techniques to determine and treat dysfunction or discomfort, assisting comfortable progression and development.

FAQ

If you have some other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Chiropractic is defined as a form of complementary medicine based on the diagnosis and manipulative treatment of misalignments of the joints, especially those of the spinal column, which are believed to cause other disorders by affecting the nerves, muscles, and organs.

  • On arrival, you will be asked to complete our comprehensive paperwork relating to your health history. Your chiropractor will then discuss with you your health history and current presentation followed by a thorough examination. This will include a postural check as well as a detailed assessment of your spine and nervous system. Providing it is safe and appropriate to do so, you will then receive chiropractic treatment. In certain cases, a referral for further tests such as x-rays may be required prior to any treatment to allow your practitioner to make an accurate diagnosis.

From there, a treatment plan is formed in consultation with you. We work to treat your concerns and assist in forming good health and habits for a lifetime of good function.

  • You don’t have to be ‘cracked’ to experience effective chiropractic care. We use a range of techniques in treating any presenting issues relating to your musculoskeletal and spinal health, and you’ll always be consulted about which approach is recommended for you.

A gentle ‘pop’ or cracking noise might surprise you during your session, but it’s not something to be concerned about. This sound is caused by gas being released from a joint due to a change in pressure. However, this may not be required in your particular treatment.

  • Our services include evidenced based chiropractic care for infants. This process is to monitor proper alignment of the spine, supporting the nervous system in a safe and gentle manner. Our chiropractors have a special interest in pregnancy and paediatric chiropractic care – find out more here.

  • Chiropractic care encompasses the treatment of a broad range of complaints, from musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, constant headaches, posture complaints, back and neck pain, and joint stiffness. You can see a range of treatment areas above, which contribute to our overall holistic approach to caring for your spine and nervous system, or speak to our staff about options for the treatment of your particular complaint.

Common complaints needn’t be so common for you.

No matter if it’s your infant or you’re in the later stage of adventuring through life, The Chiro Collective offers a range of personalised techniques. From low force or gentle manual techniques, to dry needling and rehabilitation exercise prescription, our goal is to ensure you leave more comfortable and confident than when you arrived.
